What is a Tier 2 Change of Employment Visa?
The Tier 2 Change of Employment Visa applies to Individuals already in the UK on a Tier 2 (General) Visa who are eligible to change employment. If the individual intends to work with an employer other than the one you are already working for, you will need to file an application for a change of employment.
The application can only be made once the role has been advertised to satisfy the resident labour market test, after which the Certificate of Sponsorship will be issued to the applicant.
The length of your stay will dependent on the length the Certificate of sponsorship has been issued for, which can range from 6 months to 5 years depending on your sponsor. After you have been residing in the UK for 5 years, you may have an opportunity to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK or Permanent Residency.
The position offered must be at or above NQF level 6
The salary is in accordance to standard occupation classifications codes
The applicant fulfils all the relevant requirements for Tier 2 (General) Visa
