OISC Immigration consultant Level 1

Visa and Migration Ltd are a client-oriented specialist visa and immigration consultancy, regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) and The Law Society of England and Wales (LSC). We cover all aspects of UK immigration, Nationality and EU free movement law for individuals and corporate clients. The company is rapidly expanding and as such we are looking for suitable candidates to join this fast-growing team. Candidates will need to have strong interpersonal skills as the job is centred on communicating with clients and authorities. The ability to develop rapport quickly, and work independently are also necessary. Level 1 OISC accreditation as a minimum and a general interest in law is essential and for the right candidate the opportunity to advance, along with a full training package will be provided. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assess clients’ situations, Verify and prepare application documents on behalf of clients and Advise clients regarding their Immigration matters Provide guidance to clients, Provide Templates when and where necessary, also Draft and Translate related materials if necessary Liaise with Immigration Authorities and other agencies and represent clients in accordance with the law, procedure and practice Draft witness statements, representations and other complex documents, if necessary Deal with all the inquiries during the application process and keep clients updated at all times Maintain and support the applications until the case is resolved, and always adhere to provide excellent and professional customer service To keep up to date with changes in relevant legislation by attendance at external training and by private study and deliver to the compliance team Must work within strict timelines and communicate with authorities and the client consistently via email or telephone Complete any other records in connection with casework, record all contact with the client onto CRM and Update Client Folders regularly using manual or computerised systems as appropriate and as required by the department manager, in order to meet OISC requirements REQUIREMENTS Relevant work experience in UK immigration compliance role is essential. Must be motivated, energetic and able to work as a part of a team. Must have strong communication and negotiation skills as the job is centred on communication with the client, colleagues and authorities. Have an ability to deal with work pressures as and when they arise, along with the ability to prioritise a complex and sometimes heavy workload is essential. Have good organisational skills, the ability to forward plan and comply with key dates, and must be able to work to strict deadlines. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and any other software related to Visa and Migration, experience using CRM is an advantage, but full training will be provided Have a non-judgmental attitude, and be able to work with people from all levels. They must also be able to understand the boundaries which apply when working in a legal advice environment and to understand the importance of providing a consistent service to clients.
