In a way, the system appears to be less complicated once you attend the appointment. However, completing the application form and uploading documents seems to be a little confusing as there are mandatory documents to be uploaded.
The most important issues found in what you answer on the application form and the next question changes according to your answer. The Applicant needs to be careful when completing the information.
Some questions don’t appear to be relevant however you are still required to answer these. The application form if some categories appear to be lengthy and tricky with questions which you answer wrongly may land you a refusal.
The service appears to be friendly with representatives attending the appointment until they have their Identity and the visiting cards from their firms.
The appointment center is much nicer looking than before and seems a value for money with comfy couches, free coffee, snacks, and drinks.
You are given a number and you tend to wait for 15 to 30 min and then seen by someone who will ask for documents and process your biometrics.
The postal processing also appears to be similar and you need to attend a BRP appointment at a post office.
It should all be well if the decisions start coming in timely manner.
The applicants who can use the new service are –
- Indefinite leave to remain applications - Tier 2, Tier 1 (you pay £9010 extra) 10 years Long Residence, Ancestry visas, Marriage/Partner;
- Tier 1 and Tier 2 leave to remain;
- Marriage and Family life applications
- Sole Representative, Domestic Worker Visa- pre-2012 entry to the UK;
If your application is complicated or based on Human rights – Outside the rules or applicants who do not have leave to remain can only use the old service or postal route in most of the cases.
