The Home Office to Increases Fees from 09 April 2025

The Home Office has announced that from the 09 April 2025, the visa application fees will be increased. The increase has just been announced before the budget announcement on 26 March 2025.

The biggest increases are for Indefinite Leave to Remain applications amount to £144 and the Certificate of Sponsorship which is now £525 for each CoS, which amounts to an increase of £286.

From January 2025, non-visa nationals who do not have to apply for a visa to visit the UK now have to apply for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization). The applicants have to pay a fee of £16 for the ETA application.

There are no changes to the administrative review fee to challenge the Home Office decision where applicable. ?

Similarly, you have to pay the increased the fee for applying for British citizenship, which will now be £1576.

It is clear that most of the applications enter the UK or remain in the UK or to obtain indefinite leave to remain, and seeking British citizenship will require the applicants to pay more fee. If the visa application is refused, the application fee is not refunded.
