NHS SURCHARGE MANDATORY FOR IMMIGRATION APPLICATIONS
The UK Government is introducing NHS surcharge payments for applicant who will be coming to the UK for more than 6 months from 6 April 2015. If you are already in the UK and are applying to extend your leave to remain in the UK you will also need to pay the surcharge.
The surcharge is calculated to be £200.00 per year all for immigration applicants from outside the UK or within the UK. The Students coming to the UK or extending their leave within the UK will be required to pay £150.00 per year.
The surcharge is applicable to everyone except applicants who are making an application for ILR or EEA Nationals.
The surcharge has to be paid at the time of application to the UKVI or British overseas post.
