A UK visit visa is valid for a period of 6 months. You can visit the UK for tourism, visiting family and friends, medical treatment, etc. on a visit visa. There are no mandatory financial requirements for a UK visit visa; however, the Home Office quite often rejects visit visas on the basis of financial circumstances.
For a successful visitor visa, several requirements must be met. One of them is financial requirement. You must have sufficient funds to cover all expenses related to your visit to the UK without working or accessing public funds. This includes the costs of your return or onward journey, costs relating to your dependents, and any planned activities.
Even though you show that you have enough money to cover your trip’s expenses the Home Office may still think that you don’t have money to return to your country and thus they may think that you want to stay and work in the UK for a time period beyond the length of stay granted by the Home office.
If your visit visa is refused due to financials, you have recourse available. You should carefully review the reason why your visit visa has been refused. If it is due to financials, you can reapply, there is no right to administrative review or appeal unless on grounds of human rights. The reason for refusal might be that your bank statement does not match the financial information that you provided in the application form.
You should attach a copy of your employment contract, your payslips, and bank statements showing your salary is credited to your bank account.
You should provide a cover letter putting your financial evidence in context. You should go through your bank statements line by line and check for any unusual deposits. You should be ready to explain these in a cover letter so that the Home Office has a clear picture of your finances. If don’t have any of these documents, such as if your country of residence is a cash economy, explain this in your cover letter.
