UK Business Visitor Visa is for those who want to visit the UK for a short period for business activities. Business Visitors can additionally do the activities (not the main activities) such as responding to emails or answering phone calls relating to their employment overseas remotely whilst they are in the UK.
However, you are not permitted to do paid or unpaid work for a UK company or as a self-employed person as a visitor in the UK on a Business Visitor visa.
You are permitted to do the following business activities:
Attend interviews, meetings, conferences, and seminars
Do the negotiations and sign deals and contracts
Attend trade fairs to promote your business. However, you cannot sell your products orservices or anything else in these trade fairs.
Get training related to your work if you’re employed overseas and there is no such training available in your home country
Give a single or series of talks or lectures in events that are not for profit or commercial purposes. You must not be paid for these talks or lectures.
Carry out site visits and inspections
Check the status and progress of goods and services provided to your overseas company or organization by a UK supplier company
Deliver training or share knowledge on internal projects with employees of the UK branch of the company you work for overseas
Install, dismantle, repair, service, or advise on equipment, computer software, and hardware, if your overseas company has a contract with a UK company or organization
You should meet certain conditions to be eligible to apply for a UK Business Visitor visa. You need to prove the following:
You must be a genuine visitor and have intention to leave the UK at the end of your visit
You will not live in the UK for extended periods through frequent or successive visits, or make the UK your main home
You have sufficient funds to support yourself and any dependents for the duration of your trip
You will be able to pay for your return or onward journey and any other costs relating to your visit
You must have proof of any business-related activities you want to do in the UK, as allowed by the Business Visitor Visa rules
You need to submit the following documents with your UK Business Visitor Visa application:
Your current passport or valid travel documents
Your salary and financial details
Your travel itinerary and travel history
Documents such as bank statements to prove that you can support yourself financiallyduring your stay in the UK
Proof that you can pay for your air travel to and from the UK
Travel documents such as your return or onward flight ticket to prove that you will leave the UK at the end of the visit
Documents such as letters of invitation from UK companies, business meeting details, or conference registrations to prove the business activities you will be doing in the UK
A Business Visitor visa can be valid for 6 months, 2 years, 5 years, or 10 years. You may enter and leave the UK multiple times during the validity period of your Visit Visa unless your Visit Visa is endorsed for a single or dual entry.
A single visit to the UK must not exceed 6 months.
You must apply online. You can visit the official UK government website for visa applications create an account and then complete the online visa application form.
