After Brexit in 2019 Appendix EU Family permit was incorporated. The appendix is a consolidated version of Immigration rules. The appendix EU applies to EU nationals and non- EEA nationals who wish to travel to the UK to join their EEA national family members in the UK after March 2019. Applicants apply for EUSS Family Permit to join their EU family member in the UK. You can come to the UK for only 6 months.
The family members of relevant EU nationals who can apply for a Family permit under Appendix EU are:
An application made under this Appendix will be refused on grounds of suitability where any of the following apply at the date of decision:
(a) The applicant is subject to a deportation order or to a decision to make a deportation order; or
(b) The applicant is subject to an exclusion order or exclusion decision.
Following are the relevant EU citizens whom you may wish to join in the UK:
Spouse/Civil Partner – Your marriage or civil partnership should have taken place before 31 December 2020 if you wish to join your EEA National partner;
Durable Partner – Your relationship should have begun before 31 December 2020;
Children – Where children make an application and both the parents are in the UK the application is generally straight forward provided the child is under the age of 18 years, however,
where children are above the age of 21 years old, they must prove that they are dependent on their parent for essential living needs;
Parents – The parents applying as a EEA Family Member need to provide evidence that they are
dependent of the EEA National or their Spouse/Civil Partner for essential living needs.
There is no charge you need to pay for Appendix EU – family permit.
